Using Community Data to Drive Innovation and Sustainability – A talk with Professor Ashish Joshi
Professor Joshi will present his talk from the recent Innovation expert series organized by UN Women. He developed SMAARTTM, a human centered health informatics platform to support technology enabled interventions to enhance population health.
Ashish Joshi has gained national and international prominence in the area of health informatics with a special emphasis on implementing population based surveillance, mobile health, public health dashboards and health technology assessments. His work demonstrates how community research can address complex social determinants of population health problems especially among individuals living in poor or under resourced settings and can drive new sustainable innovations.
